S&S vest done!

I finally got around to doing the covered buttons to match the little vest from the movie. They were super easy using the little kit that came with the buttons I got on etsy. Way easier than trying to do them without the little kit!  (You can buy them here in lots of sizes: http://www.etsy.com/shop/cutiestuffs)

I added two buttons on the back too, just for fun and since I had extra.

I'm still not 100% happy with  vest, but that velvet was SO hard to work with! Oh well. (ETA: I did get a tip to line up the grain of the velvet with the neckline - so I will try that next time!)

Teens dickey?

I bought this for like 10 bucks on ebay - it's a cute little dickey of sorts. Any ideas what era it might be from? Edwardian? Teens? I thought I could use it for a costume.

Another little costume painting

My mom did another pretty little painting, this one of my Bennett sisters and our Miss Bingley! :-)

Dallas Fort Worth Costume Guild Mad Hatters Tea!

I was in Austin, TX for a work meeting, but I was able to get over to the Dallas/Fort Worth area so I could attend the Dallas/Ft Worth Costume Guild's Mad Hatter's tea (and meet some costume friends I knew from online) and visit with my friend Lesa.

We picked up jenthompson on the way to the tea, so we got lots of extra time to chat! It was soooo nice to finally meet her!

The tea was at an antique place, which was really fun:

American Duchess shoe buckles!

I got these a week or two ago, but I haven't had a chance to post a pic yet!  The American Duchess 18th century paste shoe buckles are so pretty! I need to try them on some shoes now!

Gorgeous Edwardian shoes...

American Duchess does it again! Aren't these shoes gorgeous? They come in black or white, and are available for pre-order Monday.

More info here: http://americanduchess.blogspot.com/2012/01/v13-get-ready-for-astoria-edwardian.html

I think I have more costume shoes than regular ones!  These are so pretty - definitely a must-have!

This one my mom did for Kat's birthday, of her in her regency outfit from the Pumpkin tea!  :-)
