The beauty of regency costumes is that you can use a base dress and just make new things to go over it! Since I have a regency pumpkin tea coming up, I decided to make an open robe to go over my embroidered cotton gown. I bought this silk on fabricguru.com, thinking it was red (it was described as flame), but it's really an orange. I wasn't sure what to do with it, but I decided it would work perfectly for this. I don't have much time (just a week) so I wanted to make something fast. I decided to base mine on this gown
but add long sleeves for warmth. I'm using my standard regency pattern based on the sensibility one and just modified the front panels. I just have to do the sleeves and skirt. I may do the skirt first to make sure I have enough fabric and do sleeves if I have enough fabric.
Here's what I've done so far:
Costumes, accessories, jewelry, and art, made and bought. But not for sale!

Pink Indienne print jacket
I finished my 18th century jacket! The lovely Sarah was able to get me some extra pink silk ribbon so I pleated it and just had enough to go around the front and neckline!
It's on my form with my pleated petticoat right now. I haven't had the time/energy to actually take pics of me in the last few things I've made. Oh well.
Also, my closet is *really* starting to get crowded! That's no good! On the plus side I have a pretty good 18th century wardrobe right now...

1790s again
I'm thinking I made a good guess on making my version of this gown have a crossed over front:
This plate looks like a very similar gown - the sleeves are in the same style. It's dated just one year before the teal one. I like this gown too! Maybe I'll make in this color too? :-)

Beatle shirts
Several years ago I made these shirts inspired by Beatle suits for my band, when we played a Beatles themed gig. I don't have pics of the other Pepper ones in progress, but you get the idea! :-)
