They had a nice display of Star Wars costumes from The Last Jedi at AwesomeCon. Here you go! I took a ton of Rey, trying to catch seams and such.

I was in DC with friends and the Museum of American History had a bunch of different costumes on display.

Winterthur extent clothes and things!

Winterthur also had some lovely extent clothes and other embroidered pieces on display.

This was a set of 18th century pockets which were *huge*. My hand is in one of the pics for scale.

















These are pieces that were once the border of an embroidered petticoat - I want one!

Downton Abbey Exhibit

Harry Potter uniform at Smithsonian American History Museum

Anyone in the DC area? The Smithsonian Museum of American History (which also houses pop culture stuff) has one of Dan Radcliffe's Gryffindor uniforms on display in the glass cases right in the lobby! It's a bit hard to photograph behind the glass, but here are a few pics. If you're in the area, you might want to take a look!

Ida McKinley Dress

They had a new dress up at the Magic Kingdom Hall of Presidents (new to me anyway) - Ida McKinley's gorgeous black lace pigeon-front dress.

Downton Abbey Exhibit

The exhibit is at Winterthur, a gorgeous mansion in Delaware with beautiful grounds. The exhibit was FABULOUS. It runs through January and you can take all the pics you like. The layout of the exhibit is really great and the views of the costumes are perfect. GO SEE IT!

My fav was Sibyl's harem pants. I was never in love with this outfit on the show, but it's so gorgeous and floaty and different and I love the color scheme.





I also really liked Sibyl and Mary's outfits here. The subtle pattern and wrap front on Sibyl's was really pretty. And I've always liked Mary's striped gown. We may do a stripe-along, like the curtain along. I got lots of detail shots of both.

Rose's flapper gown - so pretty. And real vintage:
