Here's some images of the Met gown - my fabric has thinner stripes, but it was what I had on hand! I also just did a one part sleeve.

Red & White Striped gown
I finally finished my red & white striped gown, which is modeled on (but not an exact replica of) this gown from the Met. (http://www.metmuseum.org/collections/search-the-collections/80002250?img=3)

I love it! Want one of these for myself!!! I have plans to make something similar, but a lot simpler as I am not so good at sewing.
