Edwardian pendants

I snapped up these two little 9 ct Edwardian pendants from nalfie on ebay - got really lucky on the prices! They're really pretty!

A new brooch!

I bought this silver foil-backed paste heart drop from one of my favorite online antique dealers, Nalfie.  It's circa 1820/40 (the top part), and 1900 (the drop), though the pin back is a recent replacement.  It wasn't super expensive and it's perfect for my costuming purposes. Such a pretty find!

Downton Abbey Dinner

So *mumble* weeks ago in November, Vanessa was in town and a bunch of us got together for a Downton Abbey dinner. It was super fun and I got to wear the gown I bought from Julia. I'd altered it which ended up not being hard, and wore my ebay tiara which was actually the right period. I wore my Jump dress replica earrings and a vintage necklace with a green stone which I may or may not have gotten from Stephanie's mom Linda. Gloria and I drove up together, which was fun - and we crashed at her parents house. All and all the trip went really smoothly!

Dinner - the food was fantastic - we had to sit at two different tables that were separated by floors, which was a shame, but we somehow managed to find a place right next door after dinner where we all sat together and had drinks! So a successful evening!

Antique 15 Ct Gold Amethyst Pearl Heart Small Pendant c1905

Here's another antique piece I got a few months ago! I got this on ebay from Mary Fine on ebay for what I think was a good price! The pics and description are hers!

A small and finely made heart pendant has a stem set with graduated pearls and an amethyst heart to the centre. It is made in 15 carat yellow gold. Of English origin, please see below for further details.
The design and hand craftsmanship date this small pendant to the Edwardian period, circa 1905. The pendant is 20mm by 17mm at its widest or 3/4 inch by 5/8 inch, not including the loop. Weight is 2g or 0.07oz. It is stamped '15 CT' for 15 carat gold.

Gorgeous Edwardian shoes...

American Duchess does it again! Aren't these shoes gorgeous? They come in black or white, and are available for pre-order Monday.

More info here: http://americanduchess.blogspot.com/2012/01/v13-get-ready-for-astoria-edwardian.html

I think I have more costume shoes than regular ones!  These are so pretty - definitely a must-have!

A few ebay buys

I'm a bad cycle of buying stuff on ebay/etsy on a whim.  Here are a couple of cool things I got recently! They were all bought from Coffee Colored Cadillac, who gets a range of really interesting stuff!  Go check her out!

I'm also using her pics just to save myself time - plus they show off the items nicely.

The first is this adorable "Edwardian" apron which I thought I could cheat and use with other things.  The pics don't do it justice, it's SO sweet and the embroidery is so pretty.  The stitching on the back side makes the bows look pink. And I only paid $20.

Edwardian turquoise and enamel bracelet

I bought this on ebay to go with my Aqua 1790s gown - even though I've since made that playing card bracelet.  Maybe I'll wear both! :-)

Edwardian Gown

I got this for a good price on ebay.   It needs a replacement sash, but other than a few tears, it's in really nice shape. It's constructed really interestingly. These are the ebay seller's photos, not mine!
