@jenny - I'm not sure if I ever wore it to an event or not, other than DragonCon?
@Malteselizzeiemcgee - Thanks! It's actually dupioni though it's very light and not terribly slubby. It was from Joanns. It was my first foray into 18th century, and I had it on hand so I wanted to not wreck expensive fabric my first time out!
Hi, excuse my stupidity but what is costume con? I'm new to the art of costuming and I am addicted to your costumers guide website you collection of referance images is amazing and your costume work maggie is superb. Sorry to sound gushy but i'm simply amazed any way sorry yeah what is costume con?
Thank you! :-) Costume Con is a yearly convention that moves around the country. It's hosted in a different place every year. Just google it and you can read more. There is also Costume College and Dress University. :-)
Wow it doesn't seem that long ago since I last saw you wear this - where does the time go?!
ReplyDeleteI love the way this dress changes colour in different lights. Is it taffeta?
